Our client is a successful, growing FinTech company focused on working capital financing for SMEs, startups and freelancers in the European market. With its service, the company creates liquidity and freedom for the business development of freelancers and SMEs by bridging payment terms.
As a result of further growth, the company is looking for a CFO (f/m/d), who will accompany and actively shape the next expansion and growth phases.
Role description
The tasks of the future CFO (f/m/d) are as followed:
- Responsibility for the departments:
- Finance

- Accounting
- Balancing
- Budgeting / Controlling
- Collections (bills outstanding, KAM etc.)
- Underwriting
-
- Strategic (and tactical operational) responsibility in the areas of all finance-related topics
- Management responsibility (C-level)
- Capital Raising for equity and debt (e.g. refinancing the loan book)
- First contact for the Investors of the company
- Project responsibility for the planned introduction of an ERP system
Requirements
In addition to a Master’s degree, you have relevant professional experience in the financial industry, FinTech or a Bank. Furthermore, you have profound knowledge in accounting, financial modeling, leding or factoring and in developing a finance unit.
You are a financial expert with operational and strategic experience in capital raising, lending or factoring operations and credit risk management. You should also have advanced knowledge of IFRS and hands-on experience in leading teams.
Last but not least, you are characterized by pronounced entrepreneurial thinking as well as profound strategic competence combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented and binding working attitude.
Challenges
In (company-wide) discussions, you take over the financial part becuase of your financial expertise. You also assume overall responsibility for the strategic and operational implementation of finance issues in all countries and accompany the expansion into other countries from a financial perspective. Furthermore you calculate the risks of a startup and take over the „active control“ of the risks.
In addition to growing leadership responsibilities, as part of the C-level, you will be responsible for further developing the business organization and conceptually contributing to the vision of all stakeholders. As future CFO (f/m/d), you convince the investors and gain their acceptance by participating in the continuous development of the business model.
